Transferring a Junior ISA to The Children’s ISA is simple, and there is no charge to you for making the change.
At the Children’s ISA we have no minimum transfer value and we can accept transfers from cash or stocks and shares Junior ISAs.
How do you transfer your existing Junior ISA to The Children’s ISA?
You can transfer your child’s existing Junior ISA into any of our funds. Have a look at our different fund options, all funds invest in stocks and shares, but in different ways. Then simply choose which one is best for you and follow the steps below:
Why can’t I transfer my existing Junior ISA to The Children’s ISA Junior ISA online?
To transfer funds from a Junior ISA to a Junior ISA a wet signature is required (signature with a pen on paper), as the provider who holds the existing Junior ISA need to receive the transfer form with the signature before they will release the funds to the Children’s ISA. Follow the steps above to transfer your existing Junior ISA to The Children’s ISA.
Already have a Child Trust Fund (CTF)?
Children who received a Child Trust Fund (CTF) voucher were not eligible for a new Junior ISA. But you can still open a Junior ISA for them by transferring their Child Trust Fund. As of the 6th April 2015 you can transfer your Child’s CTF to a Junior ISA and to the provider of your choice.
What are the benefits of transferring a CTF to a Junior ISA by the Children’s ISA?
Since the Junior ISA replaced the Child Trust Fund it has been a defunct product. There has been less competition, less innovation and lower interest rates compared to the newer version.
The Children’s ISA products have no hidden fees all our fees are clearly documented for each investment fund. Many CTFs have an initial charge, an annual expense or charge and also bid/offer spread as well, which are not always well documented, this is particularly the case in friendly societies CTF accounts.
