Here at The Children’s ISA we offer both Ethical and Sharia Junior ISAs, so you can save and control your children’s money to align with your beliefs. We believe that when it comes to financial matters you should feel clear and confident in your options. With this in mind we would like to focus and explain a little more about the two Junior ISA investment options for you, and why we have chosen to work with specific fund managers for each.
Ethical
We provide an ethical fund through Eden Tree Management, a responsible and sustainable investment manager with a strong heritage. This means that your Junior ISA is socially responsible for investing in ethical products and companies through the Amity International Fund. This fund combines profit with principles for the ethical investor, working with those with strong visions and a clear idea of how they want to invest.
Founded in March 1988, Eden Tree Investment Management Limited has been at the forefront of socially responsible investing. We researched the best possible option, and Eden Tree have been awarded the title of ‘Best Ethical Investment Provider’ at the Moneyfacts Life & Pensions Awards for 12 consecutive years, so they are by far the best option.
The team at Eden Tree have £3 billion* currently under management with their socially responsible investment approach, and wider UK business culture of looking after people and communities, building and carving a new financial future. We can guarantee their expert guidance is the best for long term, ethical investments.

Shariah
This fund is also an ethical fund with socially responsible investing, the difference is this is governed by the requirements of Shariah law, following the principles of the Muslim religion.
We have chosen Aberdeen Asset Management for this, due to their outstanding experience. As an FTSE 100 company, this global company takes a long-term view on the investments they manage. The Aberdeen Standard Shariah funds have been designed for investors seeking returns that comply with Islamic Investment Guidelines. This means that all your investments in your Junior ISA will be managed in accordance with the advice of the respective Shariah Advisory Boards to ensure full compliance.
The global team at Aberdeen Asset Management work to invest your Junior ISA with environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in mind. With a rich knowledge and understanding how these factors can affect your investments, they are our go to, Shariah approved managers.
Please note: The Shairah investment fund is Shariah-compliant, however it does not operate under Sharia law.
